Abstract:
Consists of 116 letters written by Hess to his wife, Tobitha, while he was a soldier with the 104th Regiment of Illinois Volunteers
during the Civil War. The letters were written from battlefronts in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina. Transcription
done by May Hess Primrose and David W. Primrose, 1993.
